How do a prominent preacher or pastor who thousands follow and millions abroad have started to know and love find yourself behaving in immoral ways in which most everyday church members wouldn't normally? It is a question I am sometimes asked. The issue may be occasioned through the recent conduct of some prominent Christian leaders. Among those who raise such question will be in effect questioning if such spiritual leaders possess a genuine relationship together with the Lord. I believe that these occurrences highlight the significance of the necessity to renew our mind.

The Bible lets us know to, "Be ye transformed from the renewing of one's mind" (Romans 12:2). Paul the apostle was motivated to write these words to the church at Rome. To put it differently, these words are not inclined to the world but for the believers in Christ.

Why a tremendous point? Because although the persons whom Paul was emailing were already Christians, he tells them they should become transformed by renewing their mind. Now lays the foundation for the purpose I must address in this article.

The primary point is although we have been born again and transformed into a new creation the moment we accept Christ as our Savior, the renewing individuals thoughts are not instantaneous. And simply because we've got become born again doesn't imply we do not have screwed up believing that should be dealt with.

God does not want us to consentrate because the world does. He wants us to get a God-focused view about life. As an example, I sense a large number of Christians are troubled from the events currently happening inside our world: The economy is not good, rental destruction are abounding and much more destructive, crimes are getting to be more unthinkable, our government virtually dysfunctional, etc.

But as God's people, our faith should be in Him rather than inside the systems with this world. His power to give His people isn't subject to the condition of the economy or anything else. He has provided us the term of God to rework our way of thinking to ensure that we may have this sort of faith-filled perspective.

So what happens as we opt to not increase the risk for renewing of our own mind a high priority? I endure you that a real decision could have negative affect our fellowship with God. Contemplate it. Before we stumbled on Christ, we had arrived living off of the junk food of this world: music with objectionable lyrics, pornography, dysfunctional family settings, promiscuity, emotional or physical abuse, etc. To be attuned to God and be capable of sense the leadership of His Spirit in life, we've got to have this junk beyond our mind and renew our thinking for being one with Him. Again, our main tool for this process change of thoughts are the phrase of God.

This call to be transformed from the renewing of our thoughts are no option but a commandment: "Let this mind be in you, that has been also in Christ Jesus" (Philippians. 2:5). In effect, this verse is often a commandment to allow mental performance of Christ to control our everyday life. If our having the mind of Christ was incidental to accepting Christ, the commandment for all of us to "let this mind take you" would have been a vain point, however is not case. To hold the mindset of Christ, we must make personal investment in the process.
